Our Principal - Tim Savage
Prior to starting Avec Consulting in 2021, Tim held multiple executive leadership positions with a variety of organizations, showcasing his remarkable versatility and ability to excel across diverse industries. With a strong educational foundation, Tim's career has been marked by a series of impressive achievements and a continuous drive for improving sales excellence.
Tim initially honed his skills in sales and business development at the Hillrom Company, a medical equipment company, where he excelled in generating new business opportunities and cultivating lasting customer relationships. His aptitude for understanding market dynamics and customer requirements quickly moved him into a management position allowing him to be a key contributor to the company's incredible growth in the 90s.
Recognizing Tim's talent for sales, Intuitive Surgical, a startup surgical robotics company, recruited him to lead their sales strategy and organizational development for this original Silicon Valley Unicorn. In this role, he was instrumental in taking a salesforce of 5 into an industry leader that now has thousands of field representatives. His strategic approach to sales, both internationally and domestically, has led to relationships that still prevail today and played a pivotal role in Intuitive Surgical’s immediate and sustained market dominance.
After several other exciting leadership commercial roles where he held both traditional and strategic commercial positions, Tim's career took an exciting turn when he helped found The Morel Company, a dynamic startup in the medical equipment industry. At Morel, he showcased his ability to create innovative sales strategies and his insights and innovative solutions were instrumental in the company's rapid success.
Tim has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of effective sales strategies in every company he has worked with over the last 30 years. By demonstrating his proficiency in navigating the complex landscape of many differing commercial operations, his leadership has been instrumental in putting together creative internal and external problem-solving solutions.
